From me personally.
I write this in humility and fire in my heart. This week during summer camp I’m on my Jesus high and in this bubble away from the temptations at home. I have the desire to come home and shine a bright light for Christ just like every other year. But I want this year to be different, I want to be held accountable to that desire. I want my fellow strugglers in Christ to walk beside me because that’s what we do, struggle. We have to fight, die, and struggle daily for Christ. And the fight to be like Christ shouldn’t be a burden. Our love for Christ should feed the discipline and urge to follow Him. Following Him faithfully is a life time walk that you have to constantly train for. Just like any other race, when you fail to practice you fail to preform well. Now no one is perfect (except for Christ) but there is a different between tripping in the race and not stepping over the starting line. So struggle for Christ, face your fears and be bold because He hung on a tree for you to have a choice. His father sent Him to die so that you could CHOOSE to follow Him (you aren’t forced). So yell “yes” for God, yes that you’ll follow Him, step out in faith, and as well be set apart.
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9
